Wesley United Methodist Children

Wesley’s children and grandchildren are very special to our church, and we have many lessons and activities to make sure they have fun while learning the word of God.  We have something for all ages.

For children younger than 3-K  Wesley has a nursery, which is open from 9:30-11:30 every Sunday, for the Sunday School and late worship service hours.  The nursery is staffed by two Wesley members each Sunday, and this gives the adults and children a chance to get to know one another.  The mural of Noah’s Arch on our nursery walls is painted by Andre Mack, a local artist.

Sunday School is offered for ages 3-K thru 5th grades.

During worship a "children's" sermon is given by Hannah Ownley, director of Program Ministries. Wesley encourages all children 3 years old and up to worship together, giving our church an inter-generational fellowship. Adults at Wesley enjoy sharing our worship time with the young ones, and this also affords the children an opportunity to absorb our church traditions and liturgy.

Sunday School

We offer Sunday School to all children ages 3 years old thru the 5th grade. Our S.S. Curriculum is Live B.I.G. provided by Cokesbury Christian Resources.  Live B.I.G. helps children see, hear and live their Belief In God. The creativity and imagination as the children experience the biblical story is re-igniting our Sunday school!
